FortaFire 120/90 & 120/60 Installation

FortaFire Fire Barriers method statement for installation is simple, quick and easy to follow.

Utilising a unique trap and clamp system, no stapling required.

The main system comprises of Unistrut profiles, over moulded with a uniquely developed fire resistant gypsum compound, with specific additives to give added strength and support.

By using Brackets, Main Profiles and Cross Braces the framework is erected. The FortaFire Fire Barrier is then simply attached to the framework, utilising the first fix system, it is then fixed in place by a series of traps/clamps both vertically and horizontally.

For the FortaFire FBI 120/60 product, no vertical clamps are required.

Penetration Wrap & Patch system

The FortaFire, Wrap & Patch system, maintains the integrity of the FortaFire Fire Barrier, when various types of penetration are present..

The following forms the Wrap & Patch System:

Cushion x 1 metre - for packing out any gaps in the penetrations and the wrap

Wrap x 1m or 5m - to wrap around the penetration, this will extend approximately 300mm along the penetration

Belt x 1 metre - to secure the wrap tightly around the penetration, can be fastened by use of the glides supplied or easily tied

Patch - to seal around the penetration, seals to the Fire Barrier and the Wrap using FortaFire Sealant

Sealant - creates a fire rated bond for sealing the Wrap and Patch

All products can be easily cut to size

No Staple Gun or Staples required
